God is within her she will not fall- Psalms 46:5

god is within her god the father apparel tshirt

Many people around the world question if the verse is Biblical. It has often been used as a logo in so many cloth lines, especially ladies’ clothes, mugs, necklaces, and tattoo lines. The verse is Biblical, and its meaning depends on an individual’s interpretation.

The verse has been given different meanings. The Psalmist was talking about a city; the New Jerusalem. Although, depending on some people, it may be seen as if the Psalmist was talking about Zion.

 In the Old Testament, Psalms and Proverbs books use the word she or her in various contexts. The word ‘she’ has been used to refer to cities such as Zion and Jerusalem. It should be noted that this verse is meant for women and girls but it is meant for every Christian believer worldwide.

Life is full of struggles and difficulties. These struggles come in different forms and during different times. The hardships of life include losing a job, financial difficulties and so much more. Psalms 46: 1 says, that God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble.

Temptations and tests are a part of a Christian’s life. Jesus Christ did not fall into the temptations of the evil one.  He was able to conquer. Christians too can conquer everything. In Psalms 37: 25, the words David shows that God has never forsaken any righteous man. “I have been young, and now I am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.” Time changes, but God is the same today, tomorrow, and forever. He is not about to change during our time.

What every Christian should know is that with God, everything is possible. In 1ST John 4:4, the Bible tells us that He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. God is greater than every situation we are facing; He is than our problems and hardships. God is within us means that He knows every struggle and hardship we face in life. This verse confirms that God is alive and He lives in us.

Psalms chapter 46 and verse 5 shows us how great our God is because He cannot let us fall. No adversity is too great for God. Praying does not mean that a situation will change immediately, but it is great to know that God is a God of order. The book of Ecclesiastes say, there is a time for everything under the sun. A Christian may grow impatient, waiting upon the Lord to provide a solution to problems.

The Bible assures us that He is never early or late. He comes just in time. Remember that God’s time is not man’s time. God’s blessings come to those who believe. We should always believe in God’s word for Him to bless us.

Through the Bible God urges us not to fear anything that comes our way. He commanded Joshua to be strong and of good courage, because he will not fail him nor disappoint him. The promises He made to Joshua still stand until this current generation. Not once in the Bible has God ever forsaken His righteous. God was with Gideon, he was the youngest in his family, and his tribe was the most insignificant among all tribes. God helped Gideon win battles in a powerful way.

When we take our problems to God and trust in Him, he will help us. God waits for us to talk to Him, to seek His help so that He may help us. The scriptures tell us to seek Him and he will be found, knock, and the door shall be opened for us.

 When we involve God in our lives, we give him a platform to change our situations. Hannah stayed without a child for a long time, but the moment she went to the temple and cried to God, God helped her conceive a baby boy named Samuel.

Many verses that mean almost the same thing as the one in Psalms 45:6. Here are a few of them;

Isaiah 41:10 says,” Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.”

Jeremiah 29:11 reads, “For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalms 46:11, “The LORD of host is with us; the God Jacob is our refuge.”

John 7:38 says, “He who believes in me, as the scripture has said, “Out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.”

Romans 8:31 says, “What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us?”

2nd Corinthians 8-9 says, “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed but not driven to despair; persecuted but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed;

Final words

In this life, you will face smooth days, ups, downs, battles, and struggles, but God has promised that we can have victory through Him. This verse should strengthen us to take view of every struggle and battle from a winner’s point of view. Knowing that God is within us should give us the strength to go on because he is a victor, and no situation has ever been too hard for Him. The advantage of trusting in God is that you know he will never leave you, your family and friends may leave you, but God is the only thing that stays constant in our lives. Cheer up and know that God has your back; He will hold you and prevent you from falling.
